• Apply practical knowledge and develop a broad base of skills, while contributing to the overall success of Propak’s operations through interaction with a cross-functional team • Coordinate specific multi-discipline functions or areas within the project scope, encompassing engineering, procurement, fabrication, and commissioning (as applicable) • Assist with management of interfaces with key project stakeholders • Working with the more senior project manager, ensure that projects are completed on time, on budget, and according to contract requirements • Assist with management of project scope and coordinate changes in management submissions and processes • Work independently to manage small and intermediate sized projects and interface with clients • Participate in Piping and Instrumentation Drawing (P&ID) reviews and Hazardous Operability Studies (HAZOPs) • Prepare and maintain line, equipment, instrumentation, and specialty items lists • Coordinate and assist with the sizing and selection of the project’s instrumentation and process equipment • Participate in Bid / Evaluate / Award process • Interact with purchasing and expediting to follow up on buyouts • Review and approve vendor drawings and documents • Review and approve fabrication drawings • Participate in 3D model reviews and construction planning meetings • Coordinate and review the compilation of Project Data and Operating Manuals for distribution to the project team and client • Perform shop inspections and resolve technical issues • Review ship loose lists • Assist with resolutions of field Requests for Information (RFIs) • Coach, mentor and assist with the training of Junior Project Engineers
• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university • Professional Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience directly related to Oil and Gas Processing • Registered as a professional engineer with APEGA or equivalent • Proficient in MS Office suite • Demonstrated experience in project management • Uses appropriate theoretical and practical engineering principles to solve problems • Ability to work in a team environment • Flexible and able to meet objectives while working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and strict deadlines • Anticipates the effects of change, and plans accordingly • Superior interpersonal, verbal, written, and graphical communication skills; communicates clearly and respectfully • Understands complex verbal and written instructions • Excellent reading, research, and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and utilize complex information • Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational, time management, and planning skills • Monitors the quality of own work and creates systems for checking accuracy Propak offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package including 3 weeks of vacation and 8 float days per year.
