Propak Systems Ltd., an established leader in engineering, fabrication and construction of gas compression, processing and Heavy Oil facilities, is currently seeking a Warehouse Manager. Working primarily within the Warehouse Department, this position will report directly to Procurement Management with indirect reporting to the Vice President of Operations and PROPAK Upper Level Management. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for all aspects of the warehouse functionality and will be responsible for the Department to the rest of the company. This role provides managerial support, responsibility and guidance to all of the employees in the department. This position is responsible for providing a safe work environment for the department, and meeting all safety and regulatory standards. All material handling falls under the responsibility of Warehouse Management.
Oversee the daily operation of all warehouse locations and staff. Work closely with Warehouse Coordinators and Lead Hands to ensure goals are set, required information is communicated and daily tasks are completed safely, accurately and efficiently. Develop departmental procedures, work instructions, work flows and forms for the improvement of the department functionality. These will be presented to upper management when necessary. Develop and maintain department staffing guide, which includes KPI scoring system, SMART goal planning, performance evaluations, job descriptions, career path opportunities and salary indexes. Work with Procurement and Operations senior management to develop and implement ideas for departmental improvements including procedures, upgrades, equipment, staffing, etc. Will also ensure that pertinent information regarding supplier performance is being relayed to the Procurement department for vendor evaluation purposes. Report pertinent information up to senior management regarding all aspects of the warehouse and material handling. Communicate important company information down to Warehouse staff. Oversee daily employee relations. Organize, attend, participate and/or facilitate regularly scheduled departmental and inter-departmental meetings to improve communications, efficiencies, training, morale and transparency. Correspond and coordinate with shop management to improve processes pertaining to material moving between the shop and warehouse, in both directions. Responsible for placing qualified employees into supervisory positions to ensure the warehouse runs efficiently during day shifts, evening shifts and when overtime is required. Provide supplier training and information sessions to employees where beneficial. Accommodate and encourage business relationships between our suppliers and our supervisory staff. Ensure the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse locations are kept to a standard that promotes safe, efficient and positive work environments. Ensure accurate and detailed records and documentation is maintained in all areas necessary. Work with vendors to establish relationships
Completion of a high school diploma. Oil and gas industry experience, or experience in a related occupation or as a warehouse employee is considered an asset. Basic knowledge of materials used in the construction of oil and gas plants is considered an asset. Familiarity with warehouse software and Visual Manufacturing is considered an asset. Experience with the use and maintenance of basic hand and power tools is considered an asset. Experience and license for forklift and zoom boom operation is considered an asset.
